The First 'Avengers' Trailer is Here! Assemble! (VIDEO)

We've seen teasers, we've seen photos, we've seen set videos... but as of yet, we haven't seen a full theatrical trailer for "The Avengers." Today, that changes.

The first trailer for "The Avengers" hit the Web today, and it's pretty frickin' awesome. Explosions, dramatic voice overs, more explosions, superheroes in brand-new costumes, more explosions, Robert Downey Jr. being quippy, and yet more explosions.

We still don't get a good look at our bad guys, though the voice over at the beginning gives us a little sample of their attitude toward the human race: "You were made to be ruled." The team that Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) has assembled has a different attitude, though, and Tony Stark's line, "If we can't protect the Earth, you can be damn sure we'll avenge it," pretty much sums it up.

The team consists of Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Black Widow (Scarlett Johanssen), and the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), all of whom we've met through their own Marvel movies or appearances in others.
